WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 opens on Sept 22, with the skill competitions running from Sept 23 to 26 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), or NECC.
What’s at the NECC?
Three major WorldSkills events will take place at the venue.
The 48th WorldSkills Competition: The competition brings together 1,385 competitors from 68 countries and regions to compete in 64 skill competitions across six sectors. The skill competitions are spread across eight halls: 1.1H, 1.2H, 2.1H, 3H, 4.1H, 5.1H, 6.1H, and 6.2H.
WorldSkills Conference 2026: The conference will be held in Hall 4.2H from Sept 23 to 25. Policymakers, government officials, industry leaders, educators, and young people will discuss technical and vocational education and training, as well as skills development.
WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 Expo: The expo will run from Sept 23 to 26, with Hall 5.2H as its main venue. Visitors can watch skills demonstrations, try hands-on activities, and explore themed exhibitions.
Tip: Pick the competition halls for the skills that interest you, then head to 5.2H for expo activities.
